Ingredients

For the Bisque
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Adds richness and flavor; substitute with olive oil for a lighter bisque.
  • 1 cup Celery Builds the flavor base; leeks can be used for a milder taste.
  • ½ cup Green Onions Provides a mild onion flavor; shallots can be a nice alternative.
  • 2 cups Whole Milk Balances the dish's richness; consider non-dairy milk for a dairy-free option, though texture may vary.
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream Ensures a creamy texture; use whole milk for a lighter version, but it won't be as rich.
  • ¼ cup Flour Thickens the soup; gluten-free flour can also be used as a substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste Adds depth; sun-dried tomatoes can offer a unique twist.
  • 1 pound Cooked Shrimp Delivers sweet notes; imitation crab or lobster are good substitutes.
  • ½ pound Crab Meat Brings briny richness; feel free to replace it with more shrimp or different seafood varieties.
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning Enhances seafood flavors; swap for Cajun or Creole seasoning for a spicier kick.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Essential for seasoning; adjust to your taste preferences.
