For the Cauliflower Steaks
  • 1 large head Cauliflower Fresh heads for the best flavor and texture
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly cracked for depth
For the Spicy Coating
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Regular paprika is a substitute
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Or fresh minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Adjust to taste
For the Buffalo Sauce
  • 1 cup Buffalo Sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons Vegan Butter Coconut oil is a dairy-free alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar White vinegar is a substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup Optional for sweetness
For Garnishing
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley or Chives For a pop of color
  • 1 cup Celery and Carrot Sticks Optional side

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Rinse the cauliflower and cut it into 1 to 1½ inch thick steaks.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the steaks.
  4. Combine olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  5. Drizzle the mixture over the cauliflower and coat evenly.
  6. Roast in the oven for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.
  7. While roasting, heat buffalo sauce, vegan butter, vinegar, and syrup in a saucepan.
  8. Brush the sauce over the cauliflower and return to the oven for 5–10 minutes.
  9. Garnish with parsley or chives and serve with optional veggie sticks.
