Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Mix in vanilla extract and salt. Gradually add the flour and chopped pecans, stirring until just combined.
  4. Roll portions of dough into small balls, roughly 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the baking sheet spaced about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, until edges are set but tops remain pale.
  6. Cool cookies on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then roll them in powdered sugar.
  7. After cooling completely, roll in powdered sugar again for a thicker coating. Serve on a platter.
