Cooking and Assembly
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil and add 8 ounces of corkscrew pasta. Cook for 10–12 minutes until al dente, then drain and rinse under cold water.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of Italian-style dressing and 1/2 cup of mayonnaise until smooth.
- Add the cooled pasta, 2 cups of chopped cooked chicken, 6 slices of crumbled bacon, 1 cup of halved cherry tomatoes, 1/2 cup of shredded Muenster cheese, 1/2 cup of diced celery, and 1/2 cup of chopped green bell pepper. Toss gently to coat.
- Add 1 diced ripe avocado just before serving and gently fold it in.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
