Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by gathering all your ingredients: fresh cilantro, limes, jalapeños, garlic, and mayonnaise. Rinse the cilantro thoroughly, then roughly chop it, including both stems and leaves. For the jalapeños, slice them in half, and remove the seeds if you prefer a milder kick. Peel the garlic cloves.
- In a high-speed blender or food processor, combine the chopped cilantro, the juice of one to two limes, the prepared jalapeños, the garlic cloves, and the mayonnaise. Blend the mixture on high for about 30 to 45 seconds, until you achieve a creamy, smooth texture.
- Once blended, check the consistency of your sauce. If it’s too thick for your liking, add a little more lime juice or a splash of water to thin it out. Blend again for another 10 seconds to mix in the additional liquid.
- Pour the creamy sauce into a squeeze bottle, jar, or airtight container for easy access. If you’re not using the sauce immediately, seal it tightly and store it in the refrigerator.
- Now that you have your sauce, it’s time to get creative! Drizzle it over tacos, use it as a zesty dip for chips, or mix it into a refreshing salad.
