Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Large Bowl
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon
  • piping bag

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by placing the eggs in a medium saucepan and covering them with cold water, ensuring about an inch of water above the eggs. Bring the water to a rapid boil over medium heat, then remove the saucepan from the heat once boiling. Cover it and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 12 minutes.
  2. After 12 minutes, carefully transfer the eggs to a large bowl filled with ice water and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Peel the cooled eggs under cool running water by gently tapping them on a hard surface to crack the shell. Begin peeling from the larger end.
  4. Once your eggs are peeled, carefully slice them in half lengthwise and scoop the yolks into a mixing bowl. Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until creamy and smooth.
  5. Divide the yolk mixture into separate bowls; add black food coloring to one bowl and orange food coloring to another. Stir well.
  6. Fill each egg white half with the colored yolk mixtures using a spoon or piping bag.
  7. To enhance the creepiness, create spider garnishes by cutting black olives and using chives for the legs.
  8. Refrigerate your assembled Creepy Deviled Eggs for at least 30 minutes before serving.
