Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until incorporated.

  4. Fold in dates and walnuts gently.
  5. Chill the dough for 10–15 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop the cookies onto the prepared baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 12-13 minutes, or until lightly browned on the bottom.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
