Ingredients
  

Fruit Blend
  • 3 to 4 cups juicy summer fruit like strawberries, watermelon, or mango
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or maple syrup/honey
  • 8 cups water divided for drink thickness
Jamaica
  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers for a floral and tangy flavor
  • 1 cup additional sugar to taste
Horchata
  • 1 cup long grain white rice or brown rice
  • 1 piece cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon
  • 1 can evaporated milk use coconut milk for dairy-free
  • 1 can condensed milk or dairy-free sweetener
Tamarindo
  • 15 pieces tamarind pods or tamarind concentrate

Method
 

Prepare Aguas Frescas
  1. Blend 3 to 4 cups of diced fruit with 2 cups of water until smooth. Stir in 6 cups of water and sugar to taste, serve over ice.
  2. Boil 4 cups of water and add 1 cup of dried hibiscus flowers. Simmer for 10 minutes, cool, strain, and mix with sugar and extra water.
  3. Soak 1 cup of rice and 1 cinnamon stick in 4 cups of water overnight. Blend, strain, then add evaporated and condensed milk with water.
  4. Boil 15 tamarind pods in 4 cups of water for 10-15 minutes. Cool, remove seeds, puree, strain, and mix with extra water.
