Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing and lightly dusting it with flour.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the flour.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix chopped apples with light brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, layer with half of the apple mixture, and swirl lightly. Repeat with remaining batter and apples, finishing with brown sugar and cinnamon topping.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the top after cooling completely.
