Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by greasing your slow cooker with a light coat of non-stick spray or butter. Place the frozen meatballs at the bottom, followed by the baby carrots and chopped celery.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the brown gravy mix with 2 cups of water until smooth and pour it over the meatballs and vegetables.
  3. Sprinkle the Lipton onion soup mix evenly over the contents and dot with small pieces of butter.
  4. Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it to LOW. Cook for 3 to 4 hours, stirring gently halfway through.
  5. About 10 minutes before serving, prepare the refrigerated mashed potatoes according to package instructions.
