Equipment

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Sausage Gravy
  1. In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and add the bulk pork sausage. Break it apart as it cooks for about 5-7 minutes until browned and no longer pink. Leave drippings in the pan.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in 2 tablespoons of butter until melted. Gradually sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, stirring continuously for about 2-3 minutes until slightly golden.
  3. Slowly pour in 2 cups of milk while whisking vigorously to prevent lumps. Allow to thicken for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon of granulated garlic, salt, and black pepper to taste. Stir well and simmer for another minute or two, adjusting seasoning as needed.
  5. Serve hot over freshly baked biscuits, toast, or hash browns. Enjoy immediately.
