Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Sausage Gravy
- In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and add the bulk pork sausage. Break it apart as it cooks for about 5-7 minutes until browned and no longer pink. Leave drippings in the pan.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in 2 tablespoons of butter until melted. Gradually sprinkle in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, stirring continuously for about 2-3 minutes until slightly golden.
- Slowly pour in 2 cups of milk while whisking vigorously to prevent lumps. Allow to thicken for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Add 1 teaspoon of granulated garlic, salt, and black pepper to taste. Stir well and simmer for another minute or two, adjusting seasoning as needed.
- Serve hot over freshly baked biscuits, toast, or hash browns. Enjoy immediately.

Notes
Leftover gravy can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge. Reheat slowly with a splash of milk to regain creaminess.
