  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest Enhances flavor.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Cut the sourdough bread into four 1/2-inch thick slices.
  2. Top two slices of bread with camembert cheese, thyme, lemon zest, and pepper.
  3. Slice the honeycrisp apple thinly and layer on top of the camembert.
  4. On the other two slices of bread, place a thick layer of aged cheddar cheese.
  5. Press the apple-topped slices over the cheddar slices to assemble the sandwich.
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with avocado oil spray.
  7. Cook the sandwich with the cheddar side down for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Flip carefully, spray the top side with oil, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until gooey.
  9. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately.
