Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out one sheet of thawed puff pastry, layer with cheese followed by deli ham, then place another sheet on top.
  3. Cut the layered pastry into 1-inch wide strips, fold each strip like an accordion, then thread onto wooden skewers to form tree shapes.
  4. In a small bowl, combine melted butter with minced garlic and parsley to prepare the garlic butter glaze.
  5. Brush the assembled tree shapes with the garlic butter glaze and sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top.
  6. Bake the trees for 20-25 minutes until they puff up and turn golden brown.
  7. Allow the trees to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving warm.
