- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and roll out your pie crust into a pie plate, allowing edges to hang over.
- In a skillet, heat oil and brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes. Add onions, garlic, and carrots; sauté for another 5 minutes.
- Stir in flour, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme, then let it simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly, then roll out the top crust.
- Pour the filling into the crust, cover with the top crust, pressing edges to seal, and cut slits for steam.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the crust is golden brown, then cover edges with foil if they brown too quickly.
- Let the pie rest for 10 minutes before serving warm, optionally with a salad or soup.
