- In a large bowl, add ground pork along with the prepared spice blend and light brown sugar. Mix thoroughly until evenly distributed.
- Divide meat mixture into eight portions, roll into balls and flatten to create patties.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add avocado or canola oil.
- Cook patties for about 5 minutes on one side until browned. Flip and cook another 5 minutes.
- Remove patties from skillet and let rest on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
