  • 1 log (4 or 8-ounce) Goat Cheese Creamy base.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a baking rack on top.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, water, black pepper, and optional cayenne pepper until blended.
  3. Lay bacon strips on the prepared rack and brush both sides with the sugar mixture. Optional: sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
  4. Bake the bacon for 15 minutes, flip, and bake for another 10-15 minutes until crispy and caramelized.
  5. Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to cool.
  6. Increase oven temperature to 425°F (218°C). Slice baguette and brush with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and bake for 7-10 minutes.
  7. On a serving dish, place goat cheese log in the center, break cooled bacon into pieces and press into cheese, finishing with a drizzle of syrup.
