Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Melt 0.5 cups of unsalted butter and 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth (about 5 minutes). Let cool slightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the chocolate mixture with 1 cup of granulated sugar. Add 2 eggs one at a time and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  3. Sift together 0.5 cups of all-purpose flour, 0.33 cups of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 0.5 teaspoon of salt in a separate bowl. Fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking dish. Pour in the brownie batter and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
