Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cornbread mix, sour cream, cream-style corn, and drained green chiles.
  3. Add in half of the shredded cheddar cheese, chopped bacon, diced green onions, eggs, and melted butter. Stir until well combined.
  4. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste, and stir gently.
  5. Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish or skillet and pour the cornbread mixture into it.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top of the mixture.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden-brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.
