- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, salt, black pepper, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide mixture into four equal portions and form into patties about ¾ inch thick. Make a thumb indent in the center of each patty.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil the surface and cook patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover to melt.
