Step-by-Step Instructions for Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and gather your ingredients.
  2. Sauté diced green bell pepper and onion in olive oil over medium heat for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  4. Transfer half of the meat mixture into a loaf pan and press it down to form the base layer.
  5. Layer 4 slices of provolone cheese on top of the meat layer and spoon sautéed vegetables over it.
  6. Seal the meatloaf with the remaining meat mixture, pressing down at the edges.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes until browned and the internal temperature reaches 160°F. Add remaining cheese on top for the last 5 minutes.
  8. Let meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing, then garnish with parsley if desired.
