Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of sliced fresh strawberries, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of water. Cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes until strawberries soften and release juices. Strain the mixture into a bowl and allow it to cool completely.
  2. In a separate pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Steep for about 5 minutes, then remove tea bags and stir in 1/4 cup of sugar until dissolved.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled strawberry syrup, brewed tea, and 2 cups of cold water. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the mixture and stir well.
  4. Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the iced tea over the ice, and garnish with fresh strawberry slices and mint leaves.
