  • 16 ounces Cremini Mushrooms, thinly sliced can substitute with button mushrooms
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried Thyme fresh thyme can be used
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried Oregano can substitute with Italian seasoning
  • Kosher Salt to taste
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste
For the Pizza Base
  • 0.25 cup Yellow Cornmeal can use flour as an alternative
  • 1 pound Pizza Dough homemade or store-bought
For the Toppings
  • 8 slices Wisconsin Fresh Mozzarella Cheese 1-ounce each
  • 1 cup Wisconsin Ricotta Cheese part-skim ricotta can be used

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and coat a baking sheet or pizza pan with olive oil.
  2. Melt unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add the thinly sliced cremini mushrooms, thyme, and oregano. Cook for 5-6 minutes until tender and browned.
  4. On a surface sprinkled with yellow cornmeal, roll out your pizza dough into a 12-inch round.
  5. Layer the rolled-out dough with slices of mozzarella cheese, dollops of ricotta, and the sautéed mushroom mixture.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool for a minute, and slice into generous pieces to serve warm.
