Ingredients
  

For the Noodles
  • 8 oz Spaghetti Can substitute with udon or rice noodles.
For the Sauce
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Or substitute with ground turkey or crumbled tofu.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced; shallots can be used for a milder taste.
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger Grated; ground ginger is an alternative.
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Tamari serves as a gluten-free alternative.
  • 2 tbsp Chili Oil Adjust for spice preference.
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar Honey or coconut sugar are good substitutes.
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar Apple cider vinegar can be used if needed.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil Best added just before serving.
For the Garnish
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Chopped; chives can be substituted.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds Optional; crushed peanuts can be used instead.

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Lower heat and add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, chili oil, brown sugar, and rice vinegar. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed for consistency.
  6. Remove from heat, drizzle with sesame oil, and top with green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished as desired.
