Cooking Steps
- Remove the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs and pat them dry.
- Mix together salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mixture all over the ribs and let sit for 15 minutes.
- Layer half of your barbecue sauce at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Arrange the seasoned ribs in the slow cooker, meaty side facing outward.
- Mix the remaining barbecue sauce with apple cider vinegar and brown sugar, then pour this over the ribs.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours, until the ribs are tender with an internal temperature of 190°F to 203°F.
- Optional: Broil the ribs for 3-5 minutes for a crispy finish.
- Let ribs rest for 10 minutes, cut into portions, and serve with your favorite sides.
