Ingredients
  

For the Ribs
  • 2 pounds Baby Back Ribs or St. Louis-style or spare ribs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt kosher salt works well
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground preferred
For the Seasoning Mix
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika or regular paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder or sautéed fresh onions
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce choose your favorite brand
  • ¼ cup Apple Cider Vinegar or white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar optional, replacable with honey or maple syrup

Cooking Steps
  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs and pat them dry.
  2. Mix together salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mixture all over the ribs and let sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Layer half of your barbecue sauce at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Arrange the seasoned ribs in the slow cooker, meaty side facing outward.
  5. Mix the remaining barbecue sauce with apple cider vinegar and brown sugar, then pour this over the ribs.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours, until the ribs are tender with an internal temperature of 190°F to 203°F.
  7. Optional: Broil the ribs for 3-5 minutes for a crispy finish.
  8. Let ribs rest for 10 minutes, cut into portions, and serve with your favorite sides.
